Description: HUM 171 4/0 "Little Sweeper" - TMK-6 Height 3.125" Tall The full size figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1944. It was restyled in 1981 by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek. The old name of this hummel was "Mother's Helper" in older catalogs. In 1988, a new miniature size figurine was issued with a suggested retail price of $45 to match a new miniature plate series called the "Little Homemakers" - one each year for four years. This is the first in the series. It has an incised 1986 copyright date along with the TMK-6 trademark, the earliest version. The hummels produced for sale initially have this TMK-6 backstamp, however with production being limited to just two years before switching over to the TMK-7 trademark, there are fewer found with this TMK-6 trademark. Production of this figurine continued until December 31st 1997, when this miniature size was Temporalily Withdrawn (TW) from production by Goebel. The original size was renumbered 171/0 and the old number 171 is now classified as a closed edition (CE) due to the 171 4/0 issuance. This is a closed edition (CE). (Never Displayed!) Has Goebel Missing Bee Trademark (TMK-6) stamped in Blue on underside of base. This is the earliest version released, first available trademark for the miniature size. Total numbers of TMK-6 were limited due to just two years of production. Incised Hummel Number "171 4/0", Factory Control Number "61" and Copyright Date "1986" on underside of base. Incised "M.I. Hummel" on rear side of base. Oversized - Hummel exceeds the catalog's listed height of 3" by One Eighth of an inch, standing at about 3.125" tall. Master Painter Hand-signed signature with year (87) in black on underside of base, located to the right of TMK-6 stamp. Name Card Display - Hummel has original foldable Name Card Display in both English and German. (Still Unfolded!) This figurine is the first in the "Little Homemakers" series, released in 1988. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity Hang Tag Card, Name Card Display, Goebel Survey Card, Goebel Collectors Club Pamphlet with Enrollment Form inside, Goebel Miniature Hummel Plates Pamphlet, Pink Quality Control Paper and original box with foam inserts.
