The set is hand painted and decorated with pink roses, blue flowers and foliage on a white background. The hand painted work looks professional, by a factory artist.The set bears the mark HAND PAINTED NIPPON, ca 1911.The porcelain is fine and translucent.The lidded pot is a large 9 1/2" wide from handle to spout and 7"high with lid.The five cups are 2 1/2" high with 2 1/2" opening.The four saucers are 5" in diameter. Two of the saucers have little imperfections on the back, glazed over,difficult to catch with the camera and invisible from the front.All other pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks norrepairs.
