Handmade "FEATHER" Shaped Gift Box/Trinket Box with Curly Maple Burl and Wenge

Description: You are looking at a handmade “FEATHER” shaped box that can be used as a decorative item, a ring box or to store trinkets. This box was created from a solid block of CURLY MAPLE BURL and WENGE. This box is extremely time consuming and difficult to make as the majority of the shaping and interior removal is done with a router. The box has an overall length of 7 ½", is 2¼" tall and is roughly 2 ½” wide through its widest point. The interior of the box is 1 ½” deep. The bottom of the box has 4 small silicone buttons to protect the finish on the underside of the box. The box was finished using wipe on polyurethane and spray on polyurethane. You will be shipped the exact item shown in the photos and each piece I make is signed and dated on the bottom. I have been a woodworker for over 20 years, making everything from complete custom cabinetry, to bowls, boxes, and pens on the lathe. However, due to health issues, I now only turn projects on the lathe in order to give myself something to do for the few hours a day I can stand.
