Description: Blessed Pauline Jaricot Single Decade RosaryThis circular-style single decade rosary has a 1" gold-toned centerpiece with a full color picture of Blessed Pauline Jaricot on the front and a textured back. The centerpiece was handmade in France. The 1-3/4" gold-toned La Salette crucifix was made in Italy and is like the won worn by the Blessed Mother during the apparitions of Our Lady of LaSalette which occurred in France in 1846. The cross arms have a pincers on one side and a hammer on the other. The idea behind this crucifix is that you are reminded to think about each of your actions and whether they will hammer the nails into the flesh of Jesus (sin), or will pull the nails out (repentance and reparation). It also reminds us to pray for the conversion of sinners. The rosary itself was designed and handmade by me in the USA. All fifteen beads are 8 mm. The 13 Hail Mary beads are faceted and fire polished genuine Czech glass in alternating clear ruby red and aurora borealis crystal. From a young age she dreamed of helping the missions, and and later organized servant girls into a prayer group and employees in a relative's factory into a fundraising group to help the missions. In 1822 she founded the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, dedicated to helping missionary efforts worldwide. She also founded the Association of the Living Rosary. Blessed Pauline is a great example of what a devoted young woman with faith and a gift for organization can accomplish and is a wonderful role model for today's youth. She was beatified in 2022. The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
