This Auction does not include any of the items shown in the test set up photo. The HARMAN KARDON has been carefully stored since purchase from the original owner a number of years ago. This unit was regularly powered on and used for some hours to insure components especially capacitors maintain performance integrity. The Preamp offers excellent performance with a clean natural sound. The Citation 11 has been tested with phono and monitored with mini-monitors and headphones as shown. The original H-K Speaker/Headphone Assignment Cable takes the power out from an amplifier and connects to the Preamp back panel as shown allowing for switching among two sets of speakers or headphones. For those not familiar with HARMAN KARDON products, these are easily equal to Marantz & McIntosh components of the same era and often exceed those in terms of quality of parts, construction and performance. As nearly always with vintage analogue gear, there may be a very slight static sound only when turning volume or balance controls or using switches, but this is never present otherwise.
