Description: This is a vintage set of Hartman Luggage. This is the brand of luggage that Babe Ruth carried, he loved the large trunk of the Hartmann trunk . The Hartmann company was founded by Wisconsin based trunkmaker Joseph S. Hartmann who founded his luxury travel goods company in 1877 with trunks. As air travel grew in the 1930s the demand for luggage grew so he created the luggage line. He was known for the leather belting on the edges of his luggage and it became a signature for his luggage line. Samsonite acquired the Hartmann luggage co in 2012. This is a complete three piece set of luggage from the Hartmann Trunk co. I will describe each piece:The make up small piece of luggage is 12 wide by 9 wide by 7 deep. It has the mirror at the top (it has oxidized over time)it has many loop holders to hold various items, the side pockets also has zippers to store your jewelry, money. The handle has some wear (see pics) there is some staining (which can probably be removed in the bottom). Overall a very nice small piece of Hartmann luggage in good condition. The middle luggage is 21 inches wide by 14 inches wide with 7 inches deep. This luggage piece has a stain on the front by the handle. Also the handle is wrapped in tape. The leather on the outside of the case is missing in some areas. There is also a stain in the bottom on the inside of the luggage piece. The leather on the edges are brittle from age. The large luggage piece is 21 wide by 18 wide and 8 inches deep. This is a very unique piece of luggage., it has a hanger in the top part of the luggage that is secured with a flap. The hanger holds suits or other hanging objects (see photo) and had a place to stand on the luggage or can be removed and hung on a rod. The inside of this piece of luggage is in excellent condition with side pockets, There are some pieces of leather on the outside of the luggage missing like the medium side luggage piece again, the leather is brittle from age. The overall condition of this set of luggage is very good, The construction is in excellent condition, no busted areas. This set of luggage sold at auction in excellent condition for $1300 and still valued at that price. Because of the conditions I mentioned above I am pricing this for a lower bargain. Hartmann luggage in a rare find now and especially in good condition I will be shipping these items separately unless I notify you differently.
