Units have been boxed since they were released back on 05/31/2000 and were limited edition and a onetime release. 8-pin DCC ready, lighted A-unit. Bad drive gears were a known issues with Proto 2000 loco's but are easily replaced. Pop off the bottom cover and swap them out with replacements from Walthers.
