This etching by Juliana Seraphim is based on the novel “The House of the Sleeping Beauties” by Yasunari Kawabata. This 1961 novella contributed in helping Yasunari Kawabata to earn a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1968. In 1971, this limited edition etching was done to honor Mr. Kawabata. Juliana Seraphim was a world renowned artist whose works hang in galleries all over the world. This etching, limited to only 200 prints, is numbered 57/200. It is signed in pencil by Juliana Seraphim and is signed in watercolor by Yasunari Kawabata. This piece is coming matted and framed. Measurements in frame are 31” from top of the frame to the bottom of the frame and 25” from one side of the frame to the other.
