Description: Kahla Porcelain Fish Artwork 4 Plates & Platter Mackerel Eel Flounder Cod German. This is a set of vintage porcelain dishes made by Kahla in Thuringia, Germany (formerly East German Democratic Republic). The set includes 4 salad plates and an oval serving platter that feature detailed fish artwork. The four salad plates each have a different fish print on them: mackerel, eel, flounder, and cod. The oval platter has the same mackerel and cod that's on the plates. Each of the pieces is trimmed with a silver rim. The bottom of each piece is stamped with the Kahla emblem with a crown. Each plate is approximately 7 1/2" in diameter; the oval platter is approximately 14 3/4" long and 6" wide. This vintage used set is in great condition. One of the plates has a couple of small brown stains on the back and another has a worn place on the silver rim. See the photos for the overall condition and detail of the items.
