Description: COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH & TUNED KEEN KUTTER K No.4 K SMOOTH SOLE PLANE 9-3/8" long , 2-3/8 wide , cutter 2" wide The body and sole was cleaned. All the hardware was cleaned and oiled. The rosewood Tote & knob are superb. Both were cleaned then waxed. Sole was lapped. All lapping is done by hand on a granite slab. Cheeks were lapped and the rail's were cleaned and smoothed out. Frog face & seats lapped. Cap iron was cleaned and lapped. The Cutter was lapped and sharpened. Its extremely sharp and cuts superb shavings leaving a very smooth finish on the wood surface. The Lever cap was cleaned then lapped at its contact point.This is a nice old plane that works great. Make a great addition to a collection or user.
