Description: Killer 1970s Cort “Slammer” Mini-Electric Guitar In Nu-Glo Pink (Teisco/Harmony). I gotta admit, I thought this thing was a toy when I first saw it. It’s just 38 inches long and 12 inches wide. I thought it must have come with a My Pretty Pony sticker and a glitter wand. But then I cleaned it up, put new strings on it and plugged it in. Thing freaking RAWKS!!! And even though it’s small, the fretboard is perfectly comfortable for man-sized hands. More amazing: it actually has decent intonation. I wouldn’t put it up against a Plecked guitar, but it’s good enough for a damn good time. These were made in Japan by Matsumoko, the parent company of Teisco and many other funky Japanese instrument brands. They also made a very similar model for Harmony, the H-804, but those only had Volume and Tone pots while the Slammer has Volume Volume Tone. The Slammer series is better known for producing a line of short-scale basses. Anyway, it’s a hot little pocket rocket with a kick-ass Nu-Wave Pink paint job. Perfect for a starter guitar, travel instrument, tuning up for a terz or just plain old amazing your pals with how kewl it is.
