"Patagonian rosewood, also known as curupay and cebil, is a prized wood by woodworkers for its exceptional durability, rich color, and fine grain. It is one of the hardest and densest commercially available woods, with a Janka hardness rating of 3,870 lbf. It is also naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insect damage. Patagonian rosewood has a deep, reddish-brown color with darker streaks and a fine, even grain.
