"Patagonian rosewood, also known as curupay and cebil, is a prized wood by woodworkers for its exceptional durability, rich color, and fine grain. It is one of the hardest and densest commercially available woods, with a Janka hardness rating of 3,870 lbf. It is also naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insect damage. Patagonian rosewood has a deep, reddish-brown color with darker streaks and a fine, even grain. It can be polished to a high shine, and it often develops a rich patina with age." --Bard Patagonian Rosewood (Curupay, Cebil) knife scales Item Number: 2309.04.1014 As always, I select and hand cut each blank from larger stock.
