Description: This is an extremely rare and highly personal letter written by actress Linda Darnell on December 29, 1949 to director Val Rosing, who had recently staged the operatic sequences in Darnell's film "Everybody Does It" for MGM. Linda was married at the time to cinematographer Perverell Marley (DeMille's chief cameraman) -- hence the initals LDM on her stationery. Included with the letter is an excellent bonus biography, “Hollywood Beauty: Linda Darnell and the American Dream” by Ronald L. Davis. Book is in new condition. Also included are a set of original candid behind-the-scenes photos taken on the film set of “Everybody Does It” in 1949.
