Description: This antique Liverpool pitcher contains two desirable transfers, "Peace, Plenty and Independence" (McCauley 187) and the scarce design featuring an American Shipyard, thought to be Salem Harbor, with a shipbuilding poem between images of the shipyard (McCauley 193, Arman S.46). This jug is in fine unrestored condition, being 8 3/4" tall and 6" in diameter. There is a chip at the bottom of the handle, some roughness at the rim of the spout, and a small hole in the base which was treated with a clay repair long ago. There is a fine short hairline on the top inside of the pitcher as pictured. This jug is in the most desirable cream color without staining and displays beautifully. It would fit into any collection. Domestic buyers only.
