The cap's centerband is made from sterling silver, accented by two subtle orange resin rings, and the remaining trim is plated in palladium. This fountain pen comes with a silver #6 14k nib made by JoWo, and fills via standard international cartridges or the included converter. The "converter plus system" can be used like a traditional converter, or can also be accessed by unscrewing the bottom of the barrel to act like a piston mechanism. Each pen is individually numbered. The Maiora Pen Company makes all of their pens by hand in Naples, Italy. Maiora is managed by Nino Marino, the former co-founder and president of the Delta Pen Company. Maiora also produces fountain pens under the Nettuno brand.
