Description: Marvel Comics Guardians of the Galaxy Title - "...And then Came the Firelord" Volume - 1 Issue - #4 Date - September 1990 SynopsisThe Firelord flew through space and came upon Starhawk, moments after the Freedom's Lady had been destroyed. Starhawk revealed to the Firelord that he was the one who summoned him, then asked him to assist his teammates on Courg. The other Guardians defeated the Stark on Courg before fighting Taserface. The Firelord intervened, setting Taserface on fire.On the planet Entem, Force indiscriminately caused destruction before Interface ordered them to stop and the group entered a temple, finding runes that left clues to the shield's whereabouts. After the Firelord defeated Taserface, Aleta created a bubble around her team and the Firelord carried them off of the ground while the Courgans, as well as a humiliated Taserface, watched. The Firelord took the team to a Stark ship previously secured by Martinex. The Guardians invited the Firelord to join them, but he declined, although he accepted one of their stars and became an honorary member. The Firelord and his honorary teammates parted ways before the team renamed the ship "the Captain America II."
