Description: For sale is a beautiful Maud Lewis original painting titled "Covered Bridge With Three Sleighs" 12in x 14in from circa 1970. This painting was done in June of 1970, only one month before the death of Maud Lewis, making it one of the last paintings Maud ever did. It does have fading in different areas including her signature, but now that it is behind UV glass, the fading will no longer get worse. Due to the fading and a couple minor marks on the painting, I have priced it accordingly. Also comes with an original photo of the owner holding it next to Mauds home in 1970. Comes professionally framed from Zwickers Gallery in Halifax. This painting has also been examined and authenticated by Zwickers Gallery in Halifax which is one of the leading Maud Lewis experts in Canada, and comes with an authentication letter.
