And finally got the chance and enough material to work on the new batches until a while ago in Japanese market we can often find extremely messed-up broken blade pieces, the larger ones are oftenly used for training of student polisher, the smaller pieces are sometimes re-forged into small micellaneous stuffs like this I had some of those small broken pieces reforged into these steel mekugi-nuki by a blacksmith friend. This idea is not new and had already been done by many modern Japanese bladesmith. It's a very good use of those broken blades, and put them back into the world of Nihonto collection in a different way.
