Description: Metropolitan Museum of Art Ornament MoMA German Church 19th Century Brass/Gold This is a thin metal brass cutout silhouette ornament that was made for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I believe this was produced in the late 1990s, but it is not dated. It is in good condition. Clean. It had at one time fallen off the card and was taped back on. Measurements are in photos. Photos are of the exact item you will receive. "This design, in the form of a church, was meant to be a sugar decoration for the top of a cake. It was taken from an illustration in Die Conditorei in Bildern ( The Pastry Shop in Pictures) by Conrad Wegner, published in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1854. The Museum's ornament is photoetched in brass and electroplated in gold. THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART Harry Brisbane Dick Fund 1937" Ships from my clean, non-smoking home.
