Millers Falls No 18 Fore Plane W BOX Hand Woodworking Like Stanley Bailey No 6

Hand Woodworking Tool Listing Description: This is a used but dang near new Millers Falls Fore Plane no 18, which is the same size as a Stanley No 6. Please look at the photos, this plane is very nice, actually the nicest one I own, that is why I am selling it. Yes, the Southern Yellow Pine curls on the bench where made by this plane, there is a video attached (if it works) and I also have another of me face planning a Cherry cutoff I can send you a link to on youtube.I bought a bunch of hand tools from a guy, I ended up with 2 No 18 Millers Falls Fore planes, this one has been sitting in the box on a shelf for almost a year. The other I have is not anywhere near this nice, but is identical down to no name on the lever cap. I rarely use a fore plane, if I do it's for jointing and I have a 24" wooden jointer, plus the other no 18..why keep this one?So, I have done nothing to this plane other then wipe it down with WD-40, clean out some sawdust in/around the frog and then used it for the video/photos. Then I wiped it down again, like an idiot I should did the video 1st, then clean it....oh well.As you can see, it makes curles, I did not try to make small ones or dial in for prettiness, I just wanted to show that it works out of the box. Yes, you may need to lap the sole, lap the back of the iron as well as sharpen. I do not think this plane was used much at all, doubt the iron was ever sharpened. I tried to find out what type this fore plane is, but my quick google search did not narrow it down for me. This no18 is either a type 2, (1936-1941) type 3 (1942-1948) or the type 2/2 (1949-1952) It is not a type 4 as the lever adjuster knob is not like the photos I found online .And it does not look like the type 5 photos I saw. So I do not know, Please look at the photos. Yes, if you check just the plane facts website, all the photos show the lever cap stamped with "Millers Falls". But like I said, I have another identical to this one with a plane unstamped leaver cap. That plane is well loved and has to be the original blank leaver cap. So I am not sure why I have 2 Miller Falls planes with a "blank" lever cap, So maybe the photos online are not 100% inclusive. I forgot to mention that I did not notice any flaws with the japanning, it looks great! Forgot to mention, I will partly dissemble this plane for shipping to help protect it.
