This is an original hand painted MY LITTLE PONY: ESCAPE FROM CATRINA oversized panoramic set of two background color key paintings from one of the pilots/movies before the series even began!!! (Hasbro / Marvel 1985). This is the second my little pony movie special pilot which the ponies are pitted against the evil feline witch Catrina. Once again this special air before the series even began. This special would later be re-edited and retitled " Escape from Katrina" as the final two episodes in the 1985 to 1987 series. So this special was actually aired twice!!! In this listing you're going to get two painted panoramic backgrounds of Katrina's castle and the tunnel entrance to the castle . These are the preliminary backgrounds created during the early production of the special (basically concept art paintings). This is pan background painting in gouache on thick illustration board 17x7 INCHES!!!!!! IF YOU'RE MY LITTLE PONY FAN/COLLECTOR IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. THIS IS THE ACTUAL BEGINNING OF IT ALL!!The background artists on this special included Bob Klinr, Lonnie Lloyd, Bob Smith, Martin strudler , and Dennis venizelos. These are purchased from the number one auction house in the country. I will include some sort of documentation with the purchase of the item.
