Description: This would be a perfect piece for working with epoxy if you wished to do that. It came out of a standing dead 5 year old black jack oak tree. The wood . The wood is heavy but it has been dried for a few years so the "cracks" that you see are NOT going to progress. This piece has been planed on BOTH sides so it's perfectly level. It is Natural edge as it lost its raised outer bark but the underneath aged over.It is 10 7/8" x 9 3/4" wide on one side and 10 1/2" x 10 1/3" wide on the other. It is 2 1/4" thick. It weighs 5 pounds. I misted it with water in several pictures just to give you an idea of what the grain will look like should you choose to stain or otherwise seal it.Great for many different types of projects.
