Description: The New Yorker Magazine, July 31 1954, the complete issue in great shape. Edna Eicke illustrated the cover. This issue includes the second half of the article "THAT WAS THE MANHATTAN DISTRICT A Domestic View," written by Laura Fermi, about her husband Enrico Fermi, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Niels Bohr and more amid the Manhattan Project, and more. The pages are crisp and clean, without a hint of foxing or any other staining, no writing, nothing missing, tight to the staples, with a 3/4" split at the top of the spine and a 1/4" split at the bottom, otherwise as-new. Strictly graded Fine; it was put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, almost untouched since new until now. The images we use in our listings are of the actual item you will receive, we do not use stock images. We have many other New Yorker issues from this once-in-a-lifetime collection, so if there is one you want that you don't see in our listings yet, please let us know.
