The exterior shell of the system has scratching and paint chipping. The screens, particularly the top, show scratching. However when a game is being played it is harder to notice the scratches. The start button seems to have less feedback than other buttons when pressed but works without problems. The joystick on the left side is worn but still works fine without any drifting.
