NISHIKI Royal Nippon~2 handled~MORIAGE~16" tall~ART NOUVEAU~Geisha~w/ Base

Description: Antique~NISHIKI Royal Nippon~2 handled~MORIAGE~16" tall~ART NOUVEAU~Geisha~Base. No Japan stamp, so it's made before 1921, It does have the green Backstamp stating "Royal Nippon" Nishiki" and the globe. This vase is doubled handled and stands 16" tall, across the top is 5 1/2", Base is 4 3/4 across, 24" around the vase measuring from the bottom of the handles. The handles are 5 1/2" long from the top edge to the bottom. Many intricate decorative details, Moriage painting adding texture to the design. Image on one side depicts a Danna and a Geisha girl. The opposite side is 3 Japanese women and 2 men. There is lots of detail in painting, the colors are beautiful and still vibrant. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs on the vase, There is some crazing in the glaze due to its age, some of the gilt has worn off. It's a great piece for its age and the size. There is one area I found where the color had been scraped off, (That is seen in Picture #5). Any other white spots you may see in the photos are a camera flash. This piece will be very well wrapped and double boxed with insurance to match the selling price. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************** I own an antique shop, so I'm always buying out estate sales, storage units, etc...
