Description: For auction is a beautiful piece of carnival glass made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The pattern is known as "Good Luck" and the shape is a ruffled bowl with a collar base foot. The bowl measures approximately 8 7/8" in diameter and is 2 1/2" tall. The collar base has a diameter of approximately 3 1/2". The ruffled bowl depicts the words "Good Luck" in the center above a horseshoe that has a riding crop that runs through it. There is a whimsical pattern of flowers and berries encircling the horseshoe of the bowl to about an inch from the edge. Some of the flowers and leaves have stippling which adds to the interest of the piece. It has a basket weave back pattern and a saw tooth edge. The iridescence on this bowl is bright and brilliant and appears to be electric. You can see brilliant purples with blues and gold highlights. The base glass is purple or amethyst. This is an exceptionally crisp mold on both the front and backside of this bowl and is considered an excellent example. The piece is in excellent condition as there are no crack, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is signed on the underside bottom with the N in a circle underlined. This is the mark of Northwood Carnival Glass. Here is your chance to own a wonderful piece of a carnival glass in a beautiful color . Production of this pattern started in 1911 and ran until the 1930's. PLEASE READ BELOWI want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy. CLICK ON THIS LINK BELOW TO SEE MY EBAY STORE CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT Please wait for my Invoice before paying.
