Description: ORIGINAL and HARD TO FIND historical folk art signed and numbered by Roy E Finster (son of Rev. Howard Finster) of President Bill Clinton commemorating his first inauguration on January 20, 1993. This wood panel was a gift from a friend who frequented Reverend Howard Finster's Georgia's PARADISE GARDEN. This painted wood panel features President Clinton in a pink suit and tie with glittered shirt and tie pin. On the back of the panel is the Finster (both father and son's) trademark of creating images from dripped or smudged paint. This is a classic and hard to find piece of Americana and southern folk art that is also a great gift (especially in this election year.) Roy Finster's work is featured in many museums and galleries, and his father, Rev. Howard Finster is also featured in the Smithsonian among others. ROY FINSTER BIO: The son of Howard Finster, Roy (1941-2021) left his job as a handyman at Chatooga County Hospital to paint full time. His style of painting is similar to his father’s, and his subjects include musicians, politicians, angels and devils, and more.
