Description: Up for sale is this late 1800’s ephemera grouping. This grouping includes: one post card post marked 1906, with a one cent McKinley stamp mark, one envelope with one cent Harding stamp, containing correspondence from sisters in 1890, and one envelope from Department of Interior containing an official letter with raised seal from 1901, informing this widow, she will receive a monthly pension (spouse killed in war) of eight dollars /month in 1901. There are also a few slips informing her of pension increases. Interesting to follow the increases up to 30 dollars/month. An interesting look back to 130 plus years ago.
