Original US WW2 M1 Front Seam Swivel Bail Helmet Korean War Repainted Named Capt

Description: Up for sale is this original US WW1 M1 helmet. This helmet is believed to be repainted and issued for use in the Korean War. There is also a plastic liner with the GI’s name clearly written on the inside. There are a couple of minor chips in the helmet’s paint otherwise I would describe the helmet as being in very good condition and the liner in excellent condition. It’s hard to see, but on the very back strap there appears to be another GI’s name written, which would lend credence to the idea that this helmet was reissued after service in WW2. I was not able to find much on Oliveri, but I think this was make an excellent research project. As he is a captain, there should be a good bit out there on his service.
