Description: Patricia Garrett Great Impressions Studio Pottery Eggplant Bud Vase Aubergine Signed PG, Made in 2002 in California USA and 6" Tall. The colors are deep purple and green and the piece has an authentic eggplant "look." Would make a lovely addition to a collection and, undoubtedly, spark conversation. Personally, I remember how disappointed I was to learn, 20 years ago, that the artist had discontinued her work. Patricia Garrett was inspired by Nature and created her "Great Impressions" pottery in her Berkeley, California studio from 1980 until 2003. Having traveled the world, she spent several years in Japan learning from a family of potters. She returned to California to earn a masters degree in art and sculpture. Subsequently Great Impressions was born when she was commissioned to create dishes for a local restaurant. Crafted of fine Stoneware, Great Impressions pieces are functional and durable, lead free and fired to 2300 degrees. Each piece is hand painted and glazed taking approximately 2 weeks to complete a single piece. Condition is Used. No chips cracks or repairs.See photo 13 - very slight surface marks.
