Pioneer SX-636 Stereo Receiver - Serviced, Working. Recap PS and Amp Board +LED

Description: This listing is for a Pioneer SX-636 Stereo Receiver in very good cosmetic and functional condition. It has been tested/serviced and is working. It is rated at 25 WPC. All capacitors on the Power Supply and Amplifier Boards were replaced using quality Nichicon parts. A good quality color copy of the product brochure and operating manual will be included. The following outline covers the testing/service done: · All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels. · The tuner was tested using a simple wire antenna attached. Both AM and FM stations were received as expected across the radio dial. The dial pointer lamp was replaced. · Aux and Tape 1&2 inputs and outputs were tested and function as expected. · Phono input was tested and functions as expected. · Headphone jack was tested and is working. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate DeoxIt treatment. · The faceplate and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished. · All function indicator lamps were working at time of testing. · The Stereo lamp was replaced with a red LED. · Radio dial and meter lamps were replaced with Cool Blue LED-style lamps. · The Tuning and Signal Strength Meters were working at time of testing. · The Power Supply and Amplifier Boards were recapped using quality Nichicon parts. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance. · Any missing top cabinet or bottom plate screws were replaced · All feet were inspected and replaced as needed. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality. · A picture is included showing all replaced parts. They are responsibly disposed of locally and will not be shipped with the unit. This listing describes the item to the best of our ability. Overall – this unit is in excellent condition, but like all units of this era they have some marks and other signs of wear. The most notable is a small area on the top cover near the front edge of the metal vent grate. It has been repaired and blended as best as possible (see last picture). Many high-resolution pictures are included, and should be considered part of the description to help you decide if the unit meets your requirements.
