This has weight like the electric toy irons but is not electrified. Instead, it has a heavy string cord with a suction for pretend. There is no mention of electric details or model number, so it would seem this has always been non-electric. Other toy irons with the string “wire” claim it to be Catalog No. 301. A fab realistic iron and safe for today’s standards. Fun for play or display! Sadly the suction cup has hardened and won’t suction. There’s a wee bit of corrosion on the iron edge to the right side of the handle. Some minor scuffs from play but overall, shiny and in nice condition! Marked:“Sunny Suzy”WOLVERINE SUP & MFG. Iron about 6 1/4” long x 2 3/4” wide x 3” tallString “wire” and suction cup about 28” long FYI: Wolverine Supply & Manufacturing Co., founded in Pittsburgh in 1903, introduced its Sunny Suzy “girl” toys in 1928. Various models of the Sunny Suzy electric iron, which plugged in but warmed only slightly, were first made in the early 1930s. The Wolverine Supply & Manufacturing Company was founded in Pittsburgh by Benjamin Bain and his wife in Pennsylvania in 1903 and incorporated in 1906. The firm operated until 1950. In 1918, Wolverine's line expanded to include girls' toys. Introduced at the New York Toy Fair in March of that year, were such toys as sand pails, tea sets, toy washing machines, ironing boards, glass washboards and even miniature grocery stores. In 1928, Wolverine introduced their Sunny Andy and Sunny Suzy toys. The Wolverine Supply and Manufacturing Company continued to make toys through the depression but manufactured military equipment during WWII. In 1962, the Wolverine Supply and Manufacturing Company changed its name to “Wolverine Toy Company”. By 1968, the company was purchased by Spang Industries and tin toy production ceased two years later in favor of plastic toys under the name “Today’s Kids”.
