Description: Pottery/clay head with headdress of Pre-Columbian origin. Undetermined geographical origin. Obtained from the estate of Hugh H. Doney, a lifelong geologist who traveled extensively with his job and collected anything of historical value. This piece is probably of Central American origin and, most likely, is Mayan. Piece measures about 1 3/8 inches tall and about 1 inch across. The stand is not part of the sale. Good condition with expected wear and condition for an artifact of this age.
