Description: This is a used, somewhat working Project One IC stereo receiver / amplifier. First off - I literally know nothing about this unit. This belonged to a family member who had a heart attack at 70 years old, and passed away. This was found during the cleaning out of his house, it was found in a closet, some in the family just wanted to pitch it into the dumpster, but I said probably not - and here it is.I was afraid to plug it in, but I did, and it didn’t smoke itself ( at least not yet anyway 🙂) It powered up. I only tried the AM /FM radio function - and this is what I learned — the tuning knob seems to work correctly, as the needle moves as it should, and tunes in stations that are correct for needle poison. Function switch does work between AM & FM - I sadly no longer have a tape deck or turntable to check the other inputs. Volume knob does not work correctly - very crackly as you turn knob without much change in volume. Balance knob does not seem to work correctly. Bass and Treble do seem to work as they should. Both right & Left speaker outputs work for both A & B speakers. Cabinet is in decent shape. All knobs, and silver faceplate are very dirty - he was a smoker - though it really doesn’t smell like smoke. I have not tried in anyway to even begin to clean this up - I have no idea what cleaner to use, and don’t want to make it any worse than it is. This will need work, and restoring. I’ve tried to be honest on this item, and will gladly answer any questions that may help prospective buyers make a more informed decision about purchasing.
