It is a Large Folio Great Bible Leaf-Printed in 1540!!! This Leaf contains the Psalms Title, a Nice Woodcut under the Title and 9 smaller 1st Letter Engravings at Start of each Psalm. Bible Text from Psalm 1:1 through Psalm 9:2. Many wonderful Verses This is the actual Section 3 numbered Folio # 2- Great Bible Leaf from the Magnificent Great Bible-November, 1540-Richard Grafton-London. Darlow and Moule # 34. There are 65 Lines to the inch, as called for. The 9 nice engravings of the enlarged first letter to each of the 9 Psalms. This beautiful Leaf is from the fourth Impression of the Great Bible- The General Title date is 1541 but recorded as published in November, 1540. Only 1 year after the 1st Edition Great Bible was printed!!!! Large Folio-15 1/4" by 10 3/8"- 2 Column Black Letter. Many Years before First Printing of KJV-During the Reign of King Henry 8. This is a tremendous opportunity to own an early Psalms Title of a Great Bible. The Leaf leaf with 8 full Psalms. Condition: some light browning-couple of spots and smears. Some writing on edges can be seen.- edges very good-great leaf. I see a small pinhole. Please view the photos-They give a good idea of condition. 483 years old!!
