RARE 17th Century Stumpwork Casket Embroidery Hidden Drawers, Museum Piece

Description: Rare 17th century Stumpwork Casket. Approximately 11”x7”x11”tall. Please see the many pics included in this listing. As shown this casket would benefit from restoration which is reflected in the price. But “AS/IS” it is a very desirable and would add beauty to any collection. The information I have included, is information I was given when I purchased this casket, but I have no confirmation this info is correct. But experts have confirmed its authenticity. Some issues we know: hinges are present but the top has one hinge which is not attached, is in a drawer as shown, the other hinge is attached to the bottom but not the lid. The embroidery has stitching which is frayed. The lid has space for two hidden drawers, one drawer is missing as shown in pics, other drawer is present. Key is not present. The box would benefit from cleaning. Ball feet are not present. There are companies which I have contacted which offer restoration services but I would like to leave that decision to a buyer. Museums may desire it “AS/IS”. I am not an expert on this type of antique but am open to questions you may have. I am concerned with shipping something this old so pickup only will be offered at this time.
