Born in log cabin in Iowa, Buffalo Bill was a buffalo hunter, stagecoach driver, Pony Express rider, Civil War soldier, and a scout for the U.S. Army. He went on to produce the exciting entertainment of the Buffalo Bill Wild West show from 1883 to 1917. Buffalo Bill also tried his hand as land speculator, hotel keeper, and justice of the peace. This book is in very good condition for age. The cover is blind stamped with a buffalo and there are black printed titles. The joints are intact. The hinges are cracked and holding. The binding is tight. The pages are good, with clear illustrations with occasional stains. There are no page tears, no dog ears, and no internal handwriting. An owner's name is written on the inside of the flyleaf, D.P. Allen, Stockton, Cal, Sep 17th, 1902. (Interestingly, I grew up in Stockton, California, home of Big Valley)The book has 296 pages and measures about 9 inches by 6 inches.
