Description: Extremely rare “SAY-IT-IN-NEON” octagon green neon 1920’s Art Deco wall clock. I’ve owned this clock for nearly 20 years and it has never given me any trouble whatsoever. It works perfect and is very smooth and quiet. It is completely original with the only modification that was done to it before I acquired it was that someone touched up the digits to bring more white out in them. All the working parts are original. The neon is original. The glass is original. The chrome trim is original. The minute, hour, and second hand are all original. The face is original. No cracks or chips in the glass. It has the more rare variant hands with the sweeping Red Crescent moon second hand instead of the lightning bolt. Pre-dates the lightning bolt model. Also has the logo in the center instead of the bottom above the number 6 like nearly all of them that do surface. It also has raised embossed numeric digits that lift off the plate instead of the standard smooth variants seen on every other neon clock. SAY IT IN NEON was out of Buffalo NY and their clocks are very desirable and very hard to find. This is an excellent example of their craftsmanship and this clock was built to last and will run flawlessly for many years to come for whoever takes it home with them. I’m just downsizing and it doesn’t fit into my collection any longer. Clock measures 25” across and 28” from tip to tip. Very minor face wear, to be expected. Black face with white digits. Second hand sweeps perfectly. Clock runs like the day it was released. Dates to the early 1900’s. Easily 100 years old or possibly older. Has an off/on flip switch for the neon to run it or not run it making it a standard running clock or neon lit running clock. This clock came from an old jewelry store in Kansas City Mo. off of Troost Ave. I literally removed it from the wall when I purchased it from the original owners. It has been babied its whole life and taken care of as if it were somebody’s child. It carried on the same treatment when it went to me and hopefully will do the same when it goes to you. Don’t miss out on it. It is on right now and runs everyday with the neon switched on in the morning and turned off at bedtime. It will be removed from our wall and packed for war conditions upon sale to the new owner. The name alone makes it a mega cool conversation piece when discussing anything like this to anyone of interest in your weird and unique collection of oddities.
