Description: A VERY RARE one of a kind estate find - George Fulmer Photograph original photo PACK WITH NEGATIVES extracted from a MASSIVE photographer’s ESTATE in Clearwater Florida. Featured here is a woman best known by her married name Fertrinelli. Born in Germany I’ve included some history on her here in the photos including her Wikipedia page. Based on where this was filed in the cabinet and the packet number, I can identify that this particular packet was from 1953. It would’ve had to have been after her stay in New York City. She was friends with Ernest Hemingway and so was our photographer, so I’m guessing that might’ve been part of the connection other than she did some work with some pretty famous photographers in New York as well. This was obviously a private photo shoot done by our photographer George Fulmer. Some of the photographs, not the ones of her in her living room, but the other ones, may be pictures of pictures, I’m not sure. If you look at one of the photographs, I’ve circled a picture she’s holding from a magazine, and you’re getting one also along with the negative. Looks like they had a lot of fun doing this shoot IN her living room or apartment. My favorite of all of these pictures though is the one with the two nuns walking on the beach as she walks by in a bathing suit. What an awesome photo!! Pictures measure just under 3” x 5” with the negatives being a little bit larger Some of the pictures were obviously not taken in the United States I’m guessing they were taken in Germany where she was born. There aren’t many pictures of her circulating as a young woman so I do believe these are quite special. Everything is in excellent condition A COA from the estate will come with your purchase George Fulmer. Photographer for the city of Clearwater for over half a century. Also a Navy enlisted photographer during WW2. After cleaning out the residence & studio in 2014, we have been sorting through over 100,000 photographs for the last 10 years, and are finally offering some of the best ones up for sale individually. We hope to Bring recognition to his life's work as well as to find homes for some parts of the history of an entire city as documented by the city photographer. Parts of the collection are being held together by the estate for exhibition purposes in the future. Holding a piece from this collection will be rare. Much of the contents from the estate were taken by the historical society before we were asked to go inside. The photographs we hold from this estate, include everything you would've expected a city photographer to have been present for; from weddings, to new construction, aerial photographs, sporting events, school events, press photography, police, Jaycees, and a really nice , but VERY LIMITED collection of nude photographs, some possibly from a nudist camp that is still in operation here today. Even more limited, there were a handful of his war era photographs that we were able to save. The photos that are being offered here, were well preserved, found inside the home and studio, in a cool, dry, cellar type setting. George did a lot of work for the newspapers so you'll see things pertaining to Clearwater Florida, much of it from the early 1950s. FOLLOW US ON EBAY !!! This is quite a project for only two curators, so please follow us, and be patient as we slowly unveil the contents of this massive estate. And always, if you see something that you like, please make an offer!! Shipping will be by usps ground advantage unless otherwise requested. If you are buying multiple photos, shipping will be combined & you will be refunded the difference after your payments clear overnight.
