Description: This is a hand blown tall bottle with a hand applied spout on the bottom. It would make a lovely decorative piece, but its original function was in a laboratory. It is 15 and 1/2 inches tall. It has some wear marks and no chips or cracks. There is a pontil mark on the bottom indicating this item is hand blown glass. See the details for more evidence that it is hand blown. When I purchased this years ago, the dealer purchased items exclusively from France that year and told me it was French in origin. The date on this item will be from the mid to late 1800's.
