Description: Up for sale is a Grand Army of the Republic pin and a perfume bottle. The GAR was formed post Civil War and this eagle lapel pin was their pin. These are hard to find and getting more and more rare. The combination is roughly 4-1/4” tall and 1-1/2” wide. There was a cork that plugged the perfume bottle that is unfortunately missing. I’ve researched this extensively and the best I can tell, this is from around the 1870’s time frame. I am not an expert, please do your own research. I have made no attempt at cleaning this piece. It has a beautiful patina that only age can give. The perfume bottle has a really nice floral design. This is a beautiful piece of American history. Condition is as seen in pictures.
