Description: Up for sale is a very high quality antique handmade figural bronze casket box.The box is completely wrought, tooled, chased, and forged by hand out of very thick bronze, is a heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.It is one of the most detailed and high quality crafted boxes we have come across in our many years of selling antiques.The piece features a tooled eagle on the from done in high relief and very dimensional tooled lions on the sides with dangling o-rings in their mouthes.It has a foliated top with cut tree stumps and a single rose growing in the center along with 4 roses on each corner.It's lined with satin under the lid and thick leather inside the box and there was a piece of paper inside with writing but is illegible.The box is in great condition and measures 9 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide by 5 inches tall.There is some ware to the corner of the interior leather as seen in photos.
