Description: Charming Diminutive Oval Georgian Tea Canister Finely crafted in Old Sheffield Plate on copper of an extraordinarily heavy gaugewhich suggests it dates the late 18th century. Of small proportions and unmarked it is beautifully made - its elegant oval shape delineatedby a superb almost rope-like moulded gadroon border In excellent condition. The silver plate is bright with little sign of polish-wear and copper bleed apparent only slightly on the high points of the border decoration. There are no significant disfiguring scratches, dings or dents. Approximate Dimensions: Height 10cm (4") x Width 9cm (3½") x Depth 6cm (2⅓") Always packed with care.
