Description: Here's a nice and fairly rare lamp base by Rookwood Pottery. It is one of the few production forms that the company made and I have seen them with pink, yellow and green glazes. This one is not signed (yes, I looked under the original green felt bottom but nothing there), but is 100% Rookwood. This design was only made by them and I have never seen even a reproduction of this mold. It is a production lamp base (not a vase that was converted into a lamp base.....see the original cord hole). No damage or defects to note....no cracks, chips, missing glaze. 20" total height, 13" to the top of the pottery. 6 5/8" diameter at the bottom. Matching Bryant labeled thin style sockets with their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. Complete with nice old finial and wired with period style brown cloth braided cord.
