Description: RARE VINTAGE ANTIQUE AMERICANA CORN/SEED BAG W/PROVENANCE LANCASTER CO PA C1870 Click images to enlarge Description You're buying a rare, really early Antique Vintage hand made seed, corn bag from Lancaster County, PA with a fasinating note attached denoting a family provenance. It's homespun linen with an inside french seam and a hand woven blue & white braid loop (see it's broken). A true piece of Americana. I date it by a sampler that came with the lot dated 1874 (it sold right away). The note states "GB (Hand stitched in turkey red thread) stands for Gabriel Bear, Great Grand Father Bear, Ruth Brandt's Mother's Grand Father. Mother kept dried corn in bags like these in a flour chest, Homespun linen. signed by Ruth Brandt. It measures 13½"wide X 18½"long and the condition is as found with spots from age. **Thanks for Looking, Please Check My Other Estate Finds** Payment PayPal Shipping Shipping within 1 day, Sometimes the same day!
