Description: NFL Hall of Famer Ray Nitschke signed this ball in New Orleans in 1996 at the Super Bowl XXXI "NFL Experience" where he was a guest signer. His beautiful signature is in black sharpie. He also inscribed HOF 1978, the year he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame! Ray played for the great Coach Vince Lombardi and is a 5 time NFL Champ! This red plastic NFL Experience ball is about 5.5 inches long. I’ve included pictures of all four sides so that you will know exactly what the ball looks like. This nice little, red ball displays very well and costs much less than a full-sized leather ball. Note that I had trouble getting rid of the glare on the ball, so I tried to take a few pics of the signature to show that is still very bold. Get your hands on this mini football today and please look at my other NFL signed items. Ray was a fan favorite and here is one example why. Famous for his legendary toughness, during his junior year at Illinois in 1956 Nitschke lost his four front teeth on the opening kick-off against Ohio State. He never wore a face mask and one of the Buckeye players hit him in the mouth with his helmets knocking out two teeth initially; the other two were hanging by the roots. He played the rest of the game! This item will carefully ship in a box the next day or sooner. Questions? Please ask. Thanks for looking!
