Description: R.E.M. Vintage Muscle Shirt Howard Finster Folk Art Pilgrimage VERY EARLY R.E.M. "Pilgrimage" Muscle ShirtAuthentic Vintage Original Item. Not a reprint. This shirt came directly from a band member's home during a purge in the 1980s. Shirts like this one were sold at very early R.E.M. shows, and feature the art of the not-yet-famous folk artist Howard Finster. Condition: Used. Printing has lots of crackling, but the shirt still looks nice, overall. Hole at seam on back shoulder. Small hole on front below printing. See photos. Shirt is black, but looks grey in some photos due to the camera flash. Tag shows size Large, but it looks smaller, to me. Measurements: Approximately 17 inches pit-to-pit. Approximately 26 inches from the back of the collar to the bottom hem. I assume the buyer will want this item for display, not to wear, but if you do plan to wear it, please note: Clothing pieces with the same stated size can vary greatly in actual size, especially when dealing with vintage items, so PLEASE USE THE MEASUREMENTS, NOT THE TAG, TO DETERMINE IF THE ITEM WILL FIT.
