Description: This antique German Kewpie was designed by Rose O’Neill, and was produced by a variety of companies. The 4&3/4” all-bisque doll is jointed at the shoulders. He has right side-glancing eyes and blue painted wings at his neck. There is a heart shaped KEWPIE//Germany label on the chest and a DESIGN//PATENTED label on the back. He is faintly incised O’Neill on the bottom of his feet The doll is in excellent, undamaged condition from a smoke-free home. There are no cracks, chips, repairs or repaints. There are some light marks, as shown in the photos. The arms have been freshly restrung. Please enlarge and examine the photos for additional description of condition.
