Description: Rosenthal Wiinblad Studio Romanze Gold Floral Garland Dome Covered Box Jar Dish Here is a beautiful covered candy box, jar, or dish crafted at the Rosenthal studio in Germany. The piece is the Romanze form with an all over embossed geometric pattern of ovals and dots. The piece has gilt floral garland decoration around the lower body of the jar and the top of the domed lid. This piece was designed by the celebrated Danish artist and designer, Bjorn Wiinblad. The tall domed lid of the box as well as the embossed pattern give the piece an architectural presence. The gold floral garlands on both jar base and lid add the romance. The base of the jar is marked Rosenthal, Studio-Linie, Germany, form: Romanze, design: Bjorn Wiinblad. It also features the signature of Bjorn Wiinblad. The production inspector’s paper sticker is still on the base. The jar body measures about 3" tall and 3.5” in diameter. With the lid, the overall height is just over 6” to the top of the finial. This piece has no chips, cracks, or other damage. It is a beautiful vintage piece in wonderful condition. Please see the photos to judge the quality and condition of this item.
