The scene is signed by the artist J Birbeck Sen for Joseph Birbeck Senior. Has an ivory border with gold fishscale panels with raised and beaded gold scrollwork and floral swags. Gold encrusted edge. Marked on the reverse Royal Doulton Made in England. Has an impressed date code for 1927. Also has a retailer mark for Davis Collamore & Co Ltd 7&9 East 52nd St New York in puce and the name of the fish, American Char, in red. Good condition. Measures approximately 9 3/8 inches wide.
